Hi everyone!
My little girl turned two this month! She had a great time and absolutely loved being the centre of attention.
The theme for her party was under the sea as she loves dolphins and sharks. I didn't make as many decorations for this party as I did for her 1st birthdayparty , but I did make her a banner.
I used Create a Critter to make shells at 5" and the Whale was cut at 6" (it was the closest thing to a shark or dolphin that I had). The paper for the shells was from Martha Stewart and I made them in a few different colours of shades of cream, white, and grey to mimic shells as best as I could. The papers and letters all were done with pearl papers to add some sparkle. I used Baby Steps for the font and I cut it out at 3" with the shadow on Pearl paper from Colorbok in different colour blues to get that ocean look. And that was it for this year's Cricut decorations. I did get her some balloons and put a teal coloured table cloth on the table, but she was much more interested in all the people and the baloons and gifts than the decorations anyways.

April Showers - Saturated Canary "Rainy Day"
Hi Everyone!
The weather has been horrible today. It's grey, cold, and wet - the perfect day to make a card! As you know, I've recently been delving into the world of colouring stamps and came across this whole line of digital stamps from Krista Smith called Saturated Canary. (thanks Lisa!) They are so gorgeous. I just want to have them all.
While I was checking into how to colour them, I came across the Saturated Canary Challenge blog and decided that since I had just coloured up this image, I'd make a card out of it and enter it into the challenge.
The image is called Rainy Day and the Challenge is to make a card based on April Showers. She is coloured with Copics and I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and umbrella pole. I also added Star Dust Stickles to the raindrops. The paper is from Colorbok and the flowers I've had forever, but don't remember who they're from (probably Prima). I also broke out my Cuttlebug to emboss the white cardstock band as I wanted something circular to go with the theme of rain. The large brad in the center of the peachy flower is from Michael's Recollections and the smaller flowers have pearl stickers for the centers.
The sentiment is hand-written and I included it because my 23-month old daughter was annoyed with the weather this morning and saying the nursery rhyme like this "Rain Rain Go Away Come Again Another Day Little Kara Wants to Play Outside!!" It was too cute. I even videoed it and when I couldn't think of anything to put on the card this just kept popping into my head.
Copic Markers Used:
E000, E00, E11, R20, R22
YR24, YR 27, YR 30, YR31
C1, C3
R00, R20, R22,
B41, B45

Somebunny Loves You
Happy Easter Everyone!!
Isn't she just the cutest! This digital stamp is from Tiddly Inks and it's called Wryn Somebunny Loves You. The Tiddly Ink stamps are great as they also come with sentiments and since they are digital you make anything any size you want.
She is coloured with copics. The paper is from DCWV called Nana's Nursery Baby Girl. I used a punch from Recollections for the border design on the green checkered paper and it has not served me well at all. I've only used it a couple of times and it broke right away and my husband managed to fix it, but it broke again. I wanted to punch both sides of the green checkered paper, but had to settle for one as I got annoyed and threw the punch out as it also pinched my fingers. It has never worked right.
I added some twine and some pearl stickers and inked the edges of most of the paper. I also added dimensionals as well.
Copic colours used:
E000, E00, E11, R20 / R20, R22, C1, C3 / B41, B45, YG11, YG13
I'm entering this card in Tuesday Throwdown's Challenge #92 Pastel Colours

Cricut "Baby Steps" Congratulations on Having Twins Card
Hi everyone!
I was asked this week by my mother-in-law if I could make a custom card for a friend who just had twins. I was asked to make the card pink and blue. This is what I came up with.
I welded the bears from Baby Steps at 2.75" using Craftroom and then sized the mat around it from Elegant Edges so the exact size I'm not a hundred percent on, but it measures around 5.5".
I used the same paper pack from the last post and did a lot of inking and faux stitching. Both babies' names started with the letter C, so I put some stickers on the little diapers to represent them. I added a little bling and cut the tag out from my old Quickutz dies and the stamp was from Michaels.
The stamp on the inside was from Cloud9 Designs.

First Copic Card Ever !! - House Mouse "Take Time to Smell the Flowers"
Hi everyone!
Sorry for the long break. I've been working at learning my copic markers and realizing over and over again that I don't have enough to do much with them. I've been watching a lot of tutorials and doing a lot of research along the way and one day when time permits I'll write it all up in case anyone else in considering purchasing them.
This was the first stamp that I coloured and feel good about sharing. The cute people stamps are so much harder! Not to mention that you need to have many more colours for the skin, hair, clothes, etc.
For this little cutie, I used a paper stack from Momenta (not sure what it's called), a flower from Recollections, ribbon, pearl dots, and a stamp from Michael's dollar bin.
Copic Colours used:
Skin - E00, E02, R20, R11
Body - E77, E71, E43
Flowers - RV00, RV02, YG11, YG13
Ground - W7, W5, W3
Shadow - BG10

Blog News....
Hi everyone!
What a busy month. First it was report cards and then a new semester with larger classes and a lot of marking. I've been so busy that I didn't even make birthday cards for my Dad or brother this month. :(
So now for the news....
Both Lisa and I have bought some copic markers to expand our repetoire and we have started playing with them and love love LOVE them, so once we improve our technique we'll start to share some of our colouring with you. I'm still waiting on some proper blending paper and some skin tones before I can really use my markers. Hopefully, they won't be held up at the border for too long because the wait is killing me.
Of course, we'll still be using our Cricut's because how can you not! I've also been working on some ideas for my daughter's second birthday and hope that will come together soon so I can share.
Best wishes until next time!

I Love Ewe - Valentine's Day Card
This very girlie card was made for my daughter who is turning 21 months this weekend. I used Elegant Edges for the mat and the border. I used Create a Critter for the lamb and used my cuttlebug to add some texture to the paper. The patterned paper was from Me and My Big Ideas. I also used a lot of pearlized paper on the lamb, heart, and underneath the heart mat for some sheen. Since the patterned papers were so light, I ended up inking the edges to give them some dimension.
For the inside, I used Once Upon a Princess for the font.
